Golden Rams lose doubleheader to Lee University

CLEVELAND, Tn.- The Albany State Golden Rams' offense was difficult to generate on Saturday afternoon. As a result, ASU dropped a doubleheader to the Lee University Flames by the scores of 12-0 and 4-0.
 
The pair of losses brings the Golden Rams' early season record to 0-3 overall. Lee improves to 2-0.

Courtesy of a single and an error in the first inning, the Flames were able to score three runs in the first inning. Lee scored three more runs in the bottom of the third and five in the sixth to take an 11-0 advantage. They also scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
 
For the game, Albany State only collected four hits and committed two errors. Three of those hits were generated by left fielder Trevor Billings. DaMarkus Green (0-1) was the losing pitcher for Albany State.

The Golden Rams played better defensively in the second contest, but they still had trouble offensively. ASU held Lee to five hits, but only recorded one of its own.
 
Theodore Smith had the lone hit for Albany State, which also committed three errors in the game. Pitcher John Paul Barnard (0-1) was credited with the mound loss.
