Lady Rams Softball falls to Florida Tech

Albany, GA- After disposing Winston-Salem State in Game 1 of the mini crossover, the Albany State Lady Rams couldn't keep the momentum in their second contest. ASU dropped a 7-1 decision to the Florida Tech Lady Panthers. With the loss, Albany State is now 5-6 overall, while FIT improves to 19-5.
 
Florida Tech took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Albany State answered in the bottom of the inning when Toni Coleman smashed a double to score Tiffany Massey to tie the score at one.
 
That was the only run the Lady Rams could muster. The Lady Panthers added two runs in the second inning and one each in the fourth and sixth innings to pull away from ASU.
 
The Lady Rams only recorded four hits, but also had five errors that contributed to some to FIT's runs. Albany State pitcher Tiffany Massey took the mound loss.
 
Albany State will return to action on March 12 when its travels to Jasper, Alabama to participate in the 2015 SIAC Women's Softball Crossover Tournament. The tournament is scheduled for March 12-14. The Lady Rams will battle Kentucky State on the first day. First pitch is scheduled for 10 a.m.
