ATLANTA, GEORGIA- Junior guard Larry Bullock hit five three-pointers in route to a game-high 22 points to lead the Albany State Golden Rams to 85-79 victory over the Clark Atlanta Panthers in the team's final regular season game. With the win, ASU finishes the regular season with a 14-12 overall record, 11-7 in the SIAC. Albany State has won five straight games and six out of its last seven.

Also with the victory, the Golden Rams have moved into second place in the conference's East Division. Albany State will wait for the outcome of this week's league games to see if they will remain in that spot for the upcoming SIAC Tournament.

Clark Atlanta's record drops to 13-11, 9-7.

Albany State used timely outside shooting in the first half to build an early advantage. Trailing 10-9 at the 13:46 mark, the Golden Rams went on a 12-2 run that included a pair of treys by Derry Thorpe and Bullock. At that moment, ASU led 21-12 with 10:40 left to play in the stanza. Four minutes later, Bullock capitalized on a three-point play to give the team their biggest lead of the half, 27-14.

However, due to foul trouble and some unforced turnovers, CAU was able to make a run. Albany State led 31-24 at intermission.

In the opening seconds of the second half, Storey restored the Golden Rams double figure lead with a three-pointer for a 34-24 advantage. The Panthers closed the gap to 36-33 three minutes later. Bullock hit two back-to-back three-pointers and Darshtyn Baker added two free throws to push the lead to 11, 48-37, with 13:42 remaining in regulation.

Storey got back into the act with two three-pointers to help the team build a 72-55 advantage at the 5:48 mark. Clark Atlanta was able to cut the deficit again with multiple free throws. However, Albany State made enough free throws of their own to hold off the CAU run.

Baker netted 15 points and dished out five assists. Storey added 12 points and Justin Udi and Jamorris Gaines each added 10 points. Joe Williams led the team in rebounding with six, and he also anchored the Golden Rams defense with three blocks. Gaines also had five rebounds.

Albany State will return to action when the team participates in the 2014 SIAC Tournament in Birmingham, Alabama. Game times and seeds will be announced later this week.
