Albany, Georgia- Keidra Green recorded a team-high 14 points and five rebounds, but the Albany State Lady Rams were defeated by the Eckerd College Lady Tritons 75-47. With the loss, ASU falls to 0-5 on the season. Eckerd improved to 7-2.
Midway through the first half, Albany State only trailed 15-13. However, Eckerd went on a 14-2 run to take a 29-15 lead with 5:22 left in the stanza. ASU trailed 33-21 at intermission.
In the opening minutes of the second half, the Lady Tritons had a 9-1 run to push their lead to 42-22. Albany State never got closer than 17 points the rest of the way.
Artisha Holston added 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds for the Lady Rams.
Albany State returns to action on December 19th-20th when they travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to participate in the Shark Holiday Classic at Nova Southeastern University. The Lady Rams will face host Nova Southeastern on Friday at 2 p.m. On Saturday, ASU will battle Barry University at 2 p.m.
