Lady Rams fall to Clark Atlanta

ATLANTA, GEORGIA- Sophomore guard April Thomas scored a game-high 29 points, but the Albany State Golden Rams fell to the Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers, 64-59.  With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 8-15, 6-9 in the SIAC.  Clark Atlanta improves to 14-10, 9-3.
           
The early moments of the game had both teams sharing the lead on a few occasions.  However, the Lady Panthers managed to take a nine-point lead towards the end of the first half.  A 5-0 run helped the Lady Rams cut their deficit to 30-26 at halftime.  In the second half, neither team could pull away from each other until Clark Atlanta went on a run towards the end of regulation.  Despite late three-pointers by Thomas, the Lady Rams could get no closer than five point by the game’s end.
 
Junior forward Lakandra Beeks scored nine points and pulled down 10 rebounds for Albany State.  Sophomore forward Kedeemya Cooper added five points and a team-high 12 rebounds.  Conisha Hicks led Clark Atlanta with 15 points.
