Junior Frank Rivers and senior Quintory Braswell have been recognized as Players of the Week for Week 7 by the SIAC. Rivers was named the Newcomer of the Week, while Braswell garnered the honor of Special Team Player of the Week.

Rivers, a 6'6, 220-lb quarterback from Birmingham, Alabama and transfer from Grambling State University, had a career day against Morehouse College. He threw five touchdown passes and compled 10-of-16 passes for 194 yards in the Golden Rams 42-20 victory.

Braswell, a 5'10, 180-lb cornerback from Jonesboro, Georgia, returned five punts for a total of 128 yards, including a 57-yard return for a touchdown in the first quarter of Albany State's win over Morehouse. Braswell also had an interception in the game that led to another score.
