  • Title
    Assistant Coach

Michael Langston enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Albany State University women’s soccer program, bringing a strong background in both coaching and education to the Golden Rams. A native of Leesburg/Albany, Langston is deeply rooted in the southwest Georgia community and has dedicated his career to mentoring and developing student-athletes on and off the field.

Langston began his collegiate playing career at Valdosta State University, where he competed for one year as a member of the football program. He later transferred to Georgia Southwestern State University, earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. While at Georgia Southwestern, Langston discovered his true passion for coaching, a path that has now spanned more than eight years.

At the prep level, Langston has served as the Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach at Lee County High School for the past five years, where he has built a reputation for developing disciplined, competitive teams. In addition to his high school coaching experience, he has spent the last three years working with the United Futbol Academy, one of the region’s premier youth development programs, further strengthening his experience in technical and tactical player development.

Away from the pitch, Langston has also dedicated himself to education. He holds a Master’s in Special Education and has taught at the Pre-K level for four years. He is currently serving as a Special Education teacher at the Lee County 9th Grade Campus, where his passion for teaching, mentorship, and student growth carries over into his coaching philosophy.

A proud graduate of Lee County High School, Langston continues to invest in the community that shaped him, now using his platform at Albany State to help student-athletes achieve excellence both academically and athletically.
