Jeremiah Wilson enters his first season as an assistant men's basketball coach at Albany State University, officially joining the Golden Rams coaching staff on August 13, 2026.
Wilson brings more than a decade of coaching, teaching, and professional playing experience to Albany State. Prior to joining the Golden Rams, he served as Interim Head Coach and Assistant Coach at South Suburban College, where he helped lead the program to the 2026 NJCAA Region 4 Championship while overseeing player development, game preparation, video analysis, scouting, and daily program operations.
A former professional basketball player, Wilson competed internationally from 2010-24 in more than 16 countries, serving as a team captain during multiple seasons. His extensive playing experience provides a unique perspective on player development, leadership, and high-level competition.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Wilson serves as a Physical Education Teacher, Athletic Director, and Head Sports Coach at UCAN Academy in Chicago, where he oversees athletic programming while mentoring student-athletes through sports-based leadership and personal development initiatives. He is also the founder and director of The Grind Sports Foundation, a nonprofit organization that has provided sports camps, leadership programming, and mentorship opportunities for more than 500 youth participants.
Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Tarleton State University after receiving his associate degree from Casper College.
As a member of the Golden Rams coaching staff, Wilson will assist with player development, recruiting, scouting, game preparation, and all aspects of the men's basketball program.
