Calvin D. King enters his sixth season as an assistant coach for the Albany State University Golden Rams volleyball program. With a deep-rooted passion for athlete development and a commitment to excellence, King has played a supportive yet impactful role in helping sustain the team's competitive standard both on and off the court.

Coach King brings over eight years of volleyball coaching experience, in addition to three years of tennis coaching experience. His coaching journey began at Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia, where he spent four years coaching volleyball, developing foundational skills and competitive drive among young athletes. He later expanded his expertise to the club level, taking on the role of U-15 volleyball club coach, where he helped prepare athletes for advanced competition and collegiate play. In addition to his volleyball responsibilities, King is currently entering his fourth season as the Head Boys Tennis Coach at Lee County High School, demonstrating his versatile coaching skill set and dedication to youth athletics.

A graduate of Mercer University, King holds a bachelor's degree in Theology and Religious Studies, bringing with him not only a strong academic foundation but also a unique perspective that emphasizes character development, ethical leadership, and holistic student-athlete growth.
