Ashley Jones enters her first season as Director of Football Operations at Albany State University Athletics, returning to the Golden Rams football program after previously serving as the team’s lead video coordinator during her undergraduate career.
Jones transitioned into the role after serving as the Women’s Basketball Program Coordinator, where she oversaw day-to-day operations, including team logistics, academic coordination, and overall program support to enhance the student-athlete experience. Her diverse experience across multiple programs has helped shape her strong organizational skills and passion for athletics administration.
A 2025 graduate of Albany State, Jones earned her bachelor’s degree in communication in just three years. During her time as a student, she served as an athletics administrative intern while continuing her work with the football program, gaining valuable experience in both operations and administrative support.
Jones has also gained experience beyond campus, working with ESPN as an instant replay coordinator and assisting with various behind-the-scenes production responsibilities. She has also worked with the nationally recognized Valdosta High School football program.
She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in sports management at Georgia Southern University and recently completed the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar.
A native of Valdosta, Ga., Jones is a member of Alpha Phi Omega and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc..
