Yazmine Fairchild enters her first season as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for Albany State University, serving under interim head coach Todd Triplett. A 2025 graduate of Albany State with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance, Fairchild is continuing her education by pursuing a master’s degree.

During her collegiate career, Fairchild was a member of the Lady Golden Rams basketball program after beginning her playing career at USC Aiken. A native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, she was a three-sport varsity letter-winner at Discovery High School in basketball, volleyball, and track & field. She earned Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman and was named Second Team All-Region as a senior.

Fairchild brings her experience as a student-athlete and her passion for player development to her new coaching role, where she will assist with recruiting, skill development, and mentoring student-athletes both on and off the court.
