Orlando McKinley

Orlando McKinley “Coach O” joins the Golden Rams as the Cornerbacks Coach and will also be coaching the returners. Before Coach McKinley’s arrival, he held the position of Defensive Graduate Assistant (DB’s / Returners) at his alma mater- Florida A&M University over the past two seasons. In his tenure at FAMU, Coach McKinley helped the Rattlers to back-to-back nine-win seasons and an FCS playoff birth. While at FAMU, Coach McKinley developed one ALL-AMERICAN DB (BJ Bohler), and one ALL- AMERCIAN Returner (Jah’marae Sheread). Prior to being a Graduate Assistant, Coach McKinley spent his first season coaching as the Defensive Backs Coach at Benjamin Banneker High School in Atlanta, Ga. 

Coach McKinley graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, while minoring in Political Science. McKinley was a four-year starter, All-MEAC, and HBCU ALL- AMERICAN Football player. He ended his collegiate career as the FAMU and MEAC record holder for longest INT returned for a touchdown at 100 yards.
 
From Atlanta, Ga, McKinley is a graduate of Westlake High School, where he was an ALL- REGION Cornerback as well as an ALL-AMERICAN in Track & Field, holding the 110H record.
