ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State University volleyball team returns home this weekend as the Golden Rams compete in the 2026 SIAC Crossover on Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Jones Brothers HPER Gymnasium.
Albany State will compete four times over the two-day event, opening Friday at 9 a.m. against Tuskegee before returning to the court at 4:30 p.m. to face Kentucky State. The Golden Rams will begin Saturday with an 8 a.m. matchup against Central State before closing the weekend against Spring Hill at 6 p.m.
The SIAC Crossover will bring teams from across the conference to Albany for two full days of competition, with matches taking place across three courts. The weekend gives the Golden Rams an opportunity to compete against multiple SIAC opponents while playing in front of their home crowd.
Albany State enters the weekend looking to build on its early-season performances. Jarianis Perez has been one of the Golden Rams' leaders on the outside, while Amiria Anderson has provided another attacking option. Shaniya Banks has helped anchor Albany State's presence at the net, while setters Trinity Britt and Liannette Burgos have helped direct the Golden Rams' offense.
With four matches in two days, the Golden Rams will look to put together a strong weekend as conference competition continues.
Competition begins at 9 a.m. Friday and resumes at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Jones Brothers HPER Gymnasium on Albany State's East Campus.
General admission tickets are $15 for a one-day pass or $25 for a two-day pass. Students ages 5-17 are $5 for a one-day pass or $10 for a two-day pass, while children ages four and under receive free admission.
Albany State faculty and staff can purchase discounted tickets for $5 for a one-day pass or $10 for a two-day pass.
