ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State University women's volleyball team returns to the Jones Brothers HPER Complex on Tuesday, November 3, for a 6 p.m. SIAC matchup against Savannah State University. Tuesday's contest will serve as Senior Night, as the Golden Rams honor six seniors while looking to extend their impressive 13-match winning streak.
Albany State enters the matchup riding a wave of momentum after posting a perfect 2-0 record last week. The Golden Rams have continued to showcase their offensive firepower, defensive consistency and team chemistry throughout their winning streak.
Leading the offensive charge last week was Aleiah Carr, who recorded 27 kills with a .404 hitting percentage. Amiria Anderson added 19 kills while hitting .320, continuing her strong freshman campaign.
Defensively, Myra Lopez anchored the back row with 30 digs and four service aces, while Trinity Britt directed the offense with 44 assists and contributed nine digs.
Senior Night Celebration
Tuesday's matchup will be a special evening for the Golden Rams as Albany State recognizes six seniors for their dedication, leadership and contributions to the volleyball program.
The Golden Rams will honor Jarianis Perez, Myra Lopez, Liannette Burgos, Shaniya Banks, Trinity Britt and Gabby Moore.
These six student-athletes have played an important role in the program's growth and success, helping establish a competitive culture both on and off the court. Their commitment, hard work and leadership have helped shape Albany State volleyball.
Under head coach Verniece Graham, the Golden Rams will look to make Senior Night memorable by continuing their winning ways and extending their 13-match winning streak.
Fans are encouraged to pack the Jones Brothers HPER Complex, celebrate the senior class and support the Golden Rams as they take on Savannah State.
