ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany State University women's cross country team returns to action Friday morning as the Golden Rams travel to Douglasville, Georgia, to compete in the 2026 Georgia Tech XC Invitational.

The women's 6K is scheduled to begin at 9:20 a.m. at Foxhall Sporting Club. The 2026 edition marks the first time Georgia Tech will host the meet at the Douglasville course. Awards will follow the races at approximately 10:15 a.m., with recognition going to the first-place team and the top 10 individual finishers.

Albany State enters Friday's competition following a sixth-place team finish at the UNG Invitational. Brea Vann led the Golden Rams in Gainesville with a time of 19:27.5 as ASU continued to build momentum during the 2026 campaign.

Friday will also provide the Golden Rams with an opportunity to compete at the 6K distance. The course will feature marked splits at each kilometer and mile, with official timing provided by Perfect Timing Group.

The meet represents another key opportunity for Albany State as the Golden Rams continue progressing through the season and prepare for championship competition.
