Albany State University Athletics Receives $28,000 Gift for Student-Athlete Scholarships

Albany, Ga. — Albany State University Athletics is proud to announce a generous $28,000 gift from Greater Second Mount Olive Baptist Church to support student-athlete scholarships.

The gift, presented during the department's annual all-student-athlete meeting, was made possible thanks in large part to the efforts of Associate AD for Facilities and Operations/Community Engagement, Robert Skinner, whose dedication to student-athlete success helped foster this important partnership.

"We are grateful for the support of Greater Second Mount Olive Baptist Church," said Dr. Kristene Kelly, Director of Athletics. "This contribution helps us continue creating legacies by ensuring our Golden Rams have the resources they need to excel in the classroom, in competition, and in life. We also want to recognize Coach Skinner for his instrumental role in making this gift a reality."

Albany State Athletics thanks Greater Second Mount Olive Baptist Church for their investment in the future of Golden Rams student-athletes.
