Albany State Athletics Welcomes Zenay Rhaney as New Athletics Support Assistant

Albany, Ga. – Albany State University Athletics is proud to announce the addition of Zenay Rhaney as the new Athletics Support Assistant.

Rhaney is currently a graduate student at Albany State University, where she is pursuing a Master's degree in Athletic Training. She earned her bachelor's degree in Health and Human Performance in 2025 while excelling as a member of the Golden Rams cross country and track & field programs.

During her decorated career, Rhaney became a two-time SIAC champion in the 800m and 1500m. She also contributed to team success as a member of the 2024 SIAC Women's Cross-Country Championship team and the 2025 SIAC Women's Track and Field Championship team.

Now stepping into her role as Athletics Support Assistant, Rhaney is eager to give back to the program that helped shape her. She will assist the department in supporting the daily needs of student-athletes while continuing to grow professionally in the field of athletic training.

"I am excited for the opportunity to continue serving Albany State Athletics in this new capacity," said Rhaney. "This program has given me so much, and I look forward to supporting our student-athletes as they strive for excellence both on and off the field."

A native of LaGrange, Georgia, Rhaney brings both championship experience as a student-athlete and a passion for student-athlete development to her new role.

Albany State Athletics is thrilled to welcome Rhaney into this new role and looks forward to the impact she will make as both a professional and a mentor to student-athletes.
