Albany, GA – Albany State University Football is proud to announce the hiring of Nescotia "Scotty" Harrison as the new Director of Football Operations, effective May 12. A rising star in football administration, Harrison brings a strong background in collegiate football logistics, NCAA compliance, and student-athlete support to the Golden Rams program.
"Joining the Albany State RAMily is an incredible honor," Harrison states. "I look forward to contributing to the HBCU legacy of excellence and supporting our student-athletes both on and off the field. This program holds something truly special, and I'm proud to be involved."
Harrison, a recent graduate of Wingate University with a Master of Business Administration in Data Analytics, has built an impressive resume in operational leadership across NCAA Division II and I institutions. Most recently, she served as the Director of Football Operations and NFL Liaison at North Carolina A&T State University, where she managed team travel, recruitment logistics, budgets, and compliance efforts. Her previous experience also includes key roles at Wingate University and participation in high-profile events such as the College Football Playoff National Championship and the Las Vegas Bowl through the Dream Foundation.
"We are excited to welcome 'Scotty' as our Director of Football Operations," said Head Coach Quinn Gray Sr. "Her experience in the Division II landscape and her passion for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) will empower her to accomplish great things in this role. We are looking forward to having her on the team and can't wait for her to get started!"
Harrison's diverse involvement in leadership forums, including the NFL Women's Forum, NCAA Career in Sports Forum, and multiple team operations shadowing opportunities with NFL franchises, reflects her dedication to advancing within the football administration field. Her passion for HBCUs and hands-on experience make her a valuable addition to the Albany State athletics family.
Harrison is well-acquainted with the SIAC. A 2022 graduate of Allen University, she excelled as a dual scholar-athlete in both volleyball and track and field, while also serving as the manager for the football team. As the founding president of the Sports Management Society, she showcased her leadership skills. Furthermore, as the 89th Miss Allen University, she proudly represented her HBCU for four years, demonstrating her leadership both on campus and in the wider community.
