Albany State University Inducts 2025 Class into Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society

Albany, GA – Albany State University proudly honored 24 of its most accomplished student-athletes with induction into the prestigious Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, recognizing their outstanding achievement both in the classroom and in athletic competition. The induction ceremony, held on Thursday, April 24, celebrated the newest members of the Chi Alpha Sigma Class of 2025, representing nine varsity sports at ASU.

Chi Alpha Sigma is the nation's only academic honor society exclusively for student-athletes. To qualify for induction, honorees must earn a varsity letter in their sport and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through their junior and senior years. Beyond academics and athletics, inductees are selected based on their character, leadership, and commitment to excellence as representatives of Albany State and the NCAA.

"I'm proud to recognize our newest Chi Alpha Sigma inductees for their commitment to academic excellence and athletic achievement," said ASU  Director of Athletics Dr. Kristene Kelly. "They represent the very best of who we are."

"We're thrilled to welcome the 2024–2025 inductees into Chi Alpha Sigma, a prestigious honor society celebrating the academic and athletic excellence of student-athletes," said Mrs. Shaquana Miller, Assistant AD for Student-Athlete Success and Compliance/Athletics SWA. "Their hard work, dedication, and leadership both on and off the playing surfaces have truly set them apart, and I couldn't be prouder to induct the 5th class of the Eta Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma."
