Albany State’s Terica Peay Selected for NACDA Senior Administrators Mentoring Institute

Albany, GA – Albany State University (ASU) is proud to announce that Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications, Terica Peay, has been selected to participate in the 2025 Senior Administrators Mentoring Institute, hosted by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). Peay was awarded a NACDA U Grant to attend the prestigious two-part program, which will take place June 11-12 in Orlando, FL, and September 28-30 in Cleveland, OH.

This marks the second consecutive year that an ASU athletics staff member has been chosen for this institute, following Assistant AD for Student-Athlete Success and Compliance/SWA Shaquana Miller's completion of the program in 2024. ASU Athletics remains committed to developing its staff by providing opportunities for leadership growth and career advancement.

The Senior Administrators Mentoring Institute is designed to equip aspiring senior-level athletics administrators with the tools and connections needed to excel in leadership roles. The program features mentorship, professional development sessions, and engagement with experienced industry leaders to enhance participants' strategic thinking and administrative impact.

Peay, who joined ASU in 2024, has been instrumental in enhancing the department's strategic communications and digital engagement efforts. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, "I am honored to be selected for this institute and appreciate NACDA's investment in my professional growth. This experience will provide invaluable insight that I can bring back to further support our student-athletes and athletics department."

ASU Director of Athletics, Dr. Kristene Kelly, reinforced the department's commitment to professional development.
"At Albany State, we place a high priority on investing in our people," said Kelly. "Terica's selection is a reflection of her hard work and potential, and I am thrilled to see her take part in this impactful program. Providing our staff with opportunities to grow as leaders ultimately strengthens our entire athletics department."

Peay's participation in the Senior Administrators Mentoring Institute is another example of ASU's dedication to fostering excellence among its athletics staff.
