Women's Basketball Preview
The Lady Golden Rams (6-12, 4-8 SIAC) are eager to bounce back after a tough 49-64 loss to Clark Atlanta on January 25. ASU will be looking to even the season series after falling 48-59 to Fort Valley in their last meeting on March 8, 2024. However, the Lady Golden Rams' last win over the Lady Wildcats came in a 48-44 defensive battle on February 11, 2023, and they'll aim to regain control of the rivalry on their home court.
Meanwhile, Fort Valley State (6-12, 3-9 SIAC) enters Saturday's game also looking to rebound, following a Jan. 27 loss to Clark Atlanta. Both teams are hungry for a win, making this rivalry showdown a must-watch.
Men's Basketball Preview
The Golden Rams (13-7, 10-3 SIAC) enter Saturday's contest on fire, riding a two-game win streak after thrilling victories over Morehouse College in overtime and defending SIAC champions Clark Atlanta. With momentum on their side, ASU will look to extend their dominance over Fort Valley after defeating the Wildcats 70-66 on Feb. 17, 2024, snapping a two-game losing streak in the series.
Fort Valley State (7-12, 6-6 SIAC) has been up and down in recent weeks, pulling off a tight win over Morehouse on Jan. 25, but falling to Clark Atlanta two days later. The Wildcats will be looking for revenge against ASU in what promises to be a physical, high-intensity battle.
