Morrow, GA - The Albany State Golden Rams concluded their two-game road trip with a 92-68 loss to Clayton State 19 at The Loch in Morrow, GA. With the defeat, the Golden Rams dropped to 5-6 overall, while the Lakers improved to 6-5.
Albany State started strong offensively, shooting an efficient 60% from the field in the first half and tallying 32 points.
Shakur Poteat led the Golden Rams' efforts, scoring a game-high 23 points on 10-of-19 shooting and adding four steals.
Blaise Wallace contributed six points and five rebounds, while
G'Shan Aldridge added 10 points and three assists.
Despite their efforts, the Golden Rams were unable to contain the Lakers' high-powered offense, particularly from beyond the arc, where Clayton State connected on 12-of-25 three-point attempts. Albany State also faced challenges on the boards, being out rebounded 35-22, which led to limited second-chance opportunities.
Off the bench,
Isiah Cameron provided a spark with nine points and three rebounds, while
Christian Gary added eight points on 4-of-8 shooting.
Bailo Diallo chipped in five points and showcased his ability to attack the basket.

The Golden Rams will now turn their attention to their next matchup as they return home to face Shorter University on New Year's Eve, December 31. Tip-off is set for 5:00 PM at the West Campus Arena in Albany, GA. The team will look to regroup and end the year on a high note in front of their home crowd.
