Albany, GA – After a week off from competition, the Albany State University Lady Golden Rams volleyball team is ready to return to Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play with two key matchups this weekend. The Lady Golden Rams will face Benedict College on Friday, October 4 at 6:00 p.m., followed by a match against Allen University on Saturday, October 5 at 12:00 p.m. Both matches will be held in Columbia, SC.
The Lady Golden Rams (3-1 in SIAC play) are coming off a strong showing at the SIAC Crossover, where they finished with a 3-1 record. The team looks to carry that momentum into the weekend as they face two competitive conference opponents.
Benedict College enters Friday's match on a two-game win streak, having defeated Allen University 3-1 on September 27 and Morris College 3-1 on September 30. The Tigers will be looking to extend their winning run against the Lady Golden Rams.
On Saturday, Albany State will face Allen University, eager to regain its footing after recent setbacks. Despite a tough loss to Benedict College, Allen will aim to bounce back and challenge the Lady Golden Rams on their home court.
