Albany, GA – The Albany State University (ASU) Lady Golden Rams are set to take on their conference rival, the Fort Valley State University (FVSU) Lady Wildcats, tonight at 6:00 PM at the HPE Arena in Fort Valley, GA.

The Lady Golden Rams enter the match after a strong showing at the SIAC Crossover Tournament this past weekend, where they posted a 2-1 record. Fort Valley State comes into the game on a hot streak, winning six consecutive matches.

In their last meeting, Albany State swept Fort Valley State 3-0 on October 17, 2023. The Lady Golden Rams have a long-standing advantage over the Lady Wildcats, with their last loss to Fort Valley State dating back to September 11, 2018, in a narrow 3-2 match.

Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently field teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football. All teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
