For the 3^rd weekend in a row, the Golden Rams were on the road.  On this particular Saturday, the Golden Rams traveled to Atlanta to face SIAC foe, the Clark-Atlanta Panthers.  The Golden Rams faithful cheered them on as they defeated the Panthers (35-0) in their SIAC opener. 
 
With the win, the Golden Rams improved to (3-1) overall and (1-0 in the SIAC).  The Panthers fell to (1-3) overall and (1-2 in the SIAC).
 
Dionte Bonneau put the Golden Rams up (7-0) when he scored on a 1-yard run.  The touchdown capped a 10-play 68 yard drive for the Golden Rams.
 
The Golden Rams added 3 more points in the 1^st quarter when Eli Mashburn connected on a 37-yard field goal to increase the lead to (10-0).  The scoring drive consisted of 7 plays that covered 45 yards.
 
The Golden Rams scored another touchdown when Kam Ward bullied his way to the end zone from 3 yards.  His touchdown put the Golden Rams up (17-0) at the half.
 
In the 3^rd quarter, Joe Shorter caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Dionte Bonneau to increase the Golden Rams lead to (23-0).  The scoring drive consisted of 10 plays for 71 yards.
 
In the 4^th quarter, Kam Ward scored again on a 9 yard run that capped a 7-play drive for 89 yards.  Ward's 2^nd touchdown extended the Golden Rams lead to (29-0).
 
Daveon Sanders scored on a 7 yard run to put the Golden Rams up (35-0).  Sanders' touchdown capped an 8-play drive that covered 80 yards.
 
Offensively, the Golden Rams finished with 22 first downs and 402 yards of total offense.  The Golden Rams accumulated 267 yards rushing and 135 yards passing.  Dionte Bonneau was 10-15 passing for 114 yards and 1 touchdown.  Bonneau also had 5 carries for 78 yards and a touchdown.  Kam Ward had 11 carries for 70 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Golden Rams.  Ralph Lovett finished with 3 catches for 64 yards.  Joe Shorter had 5 catches for 48 yards and 1 touchdown. 
 
Defensively, the Golden Rams held the Clark-Atlanta Panthers to 225 yards of total offense.  The Panthers were 2/12 on 3^rd down conversions.  Josh Hill and Tray Bishop had sacks for the Dirty Blue defense.  Malik Barnes finished with 10 total tackles for the Golden Rams.  Barnes also had 3 tackles for a loss.  Stephan Pierre had 7 total tackles in the game.
 
The Golden Rams will return home to host the Miles College Golden Bears at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 1.
