The #2 Albany State Golden Rams advanced to the semi-finals of the 2022 SIAC Volleyball Tournament after defeating the #3 Kentucky State Thorobreds in 3 sets on Thursday, November 10.  The Golden Rams won all 3 sets by the score of (25-19).
 
Mary Kate Preston, who was named the SIAC Freshman of the Year, led the Golden Rams with 12 kills and 5 blocks.  Molly Wilson finished with 26 assists and 2 aces.  Sydney Melton, who made the SIAC All Conference 2^nd Team, led the Golden Rams with 15 digs.
 
The Golden Rams will now face Spring Hill College, the #1 seed from the West Division, at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 11.  Defeating Spring Hill on their home court will be a daunting task, but the Golden Rams are up for the challenge.  Spring Hill defeated the Golden Rams in 3 sets at the SIAC Mini-Crossover on Saturday, September 17.
