The Albany State Golden Rams women's basketball team will participate in the 2022 SIAC/ CIAA Basketball Challenge that will be hosted by Elizabeth City State University on November 11-12, in North Carolina. The SIAC/ CIAA Women's Basketball Challenge will feature Albany State University and Clark-Atlanta University from the SIAC and Johnson C. Smith University and Elizabeth City State University from the CIAA.
The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association at the Division II level. Formed in 1913, it consists mostly of historically black colleges and universities, with all but one member located in the Southern United States.
Founded in 1912, the CIAA is the first, and longest running, African American athletic conference in the U.S. and one of the most recognized conferences in Division II.
