ALBANY, GA – The ASU Golden Rams bounced back from last week's tough battle with the Valdosta State Blazers and opened their 2021 SIAC play with a deafening 49-0 win over the Clark-Atlanta Panthers. ASU ran up 460 yards of total offense while holding the Panthers to just 148 for the game.

Broadcasted on ESPN+, the game was never in doubt. The Golden Rams drew first blood at 5:52 of the first quarter as the Golden Rams went 64 yards in 13 plays, capped off with a 5-yard
Marcuis Fulks touchdown run. Fulks would get his second touchdown of the night, this time a 7-yard scamper, with 2:45 remaining.

ASU quarterback
Dionte Bonneau finished with another solid offensive scoring line. He completed 13-18 for 197 yards and three touchdowns. Albany also saw action from backup quarterbacks
Jhaydon Sullivan and
Cameron Hopkins.

The one-two punch of Fulks and
Kam Ward added to the balanced offensive production. Fulks finished with 75 yards and Ward finished with 73.

Joe Shorter returned to the ASU lineup and led all receivers with 90 yards.Â
Javon Wooten and
Tyree Taylor each chipped in 49 yards receiving as the Rams threw passes to. Nine different receivers.

A rematch of the 2019 SIAC championship game will be on hand Oct. 2 as the Golden Rams travel to Fairfield, AL to take on the Miles Bears in a 7:00PM EST start.
