ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany State University women's softball team yielded a 1-1 decision to the Flagler softball team in doubleheader action, where the Golden Rams secured a 1-0 victory, with a 10-0, run rule Flagler took the game two, five-inning victory Saturday at Golden Rams Field.
Lauren Lowery (W, 1-3) allowed no runs on three hits while striking out three.

FC's Kyra Gipson allowed just one run on one hit while striking out and tying a career-high 12 over seven innings.
In the second game, Flagler bounced back in a big way. Scattering across 10 hits on 10 runs and tossed another Saint one-hitter and recorded a career-high in strikeouts (10), the visiting team shook off a tough game one loss. A seven-run second inning gave the Saints the momentum they needed as a five-inning fifth put the icing on the cake.
The Golden Rams collected one hit in the contest. Sdyney Hopkins started on the mound for the Golden Rams allowing two runs on two hits while walking one.
Sydney Pettus closed out the game allowing five runs on five hits while striking out two.
The Golden Rams will return to action on Tuesady, February 25
th as they travel to Valdosta, Georgia to take on the Blazers of Valdosta State University.
