ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State University women's basketball team limited Miles to just 31 points in the second half, pulling away for a 66-55 home victory over the Golden Bears tonight.
ASU senior
Alexandria James led all players with 19 points, and senior
Ciera Norman scored 14 for the Golden rams on 4-of-11 shooting. Sophomore
Alexis Smith closed out the double-digit scoring for ASU with 12 points and five rebounds.
Miles (9-4, 5-1) was led by 11 points from Mya Millner and Charlisa Wellington each respectively.
How It Happened
Albany Stater's offense started fast with an 15-10 lead to end the first quarter. The Golden Rams set the tone early taking a 28-24 lead into the break.
Albany State increased their lead in each of the final two quarters to come away with its third win of the season.
