ALABNY, Ga. — The Albany State University softball team defeated the Clark Atlanta University Panthers (8-0, 7-4) on Thursday afternoon, improving to 18-29 on the year.
Albany State's
Aryn McGowan earned the win pitching 5.0 innings of shutout softball, allowing two hits and collecting nine strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Albany State's offense started with collecting two in the first inning, then ASU plated four in the home half of the third off the bats of Jala Stewart, Amaya Terry and Faith Harris.
- McGowan secured a home run in the first inning
- Stewart then singled to right field to plate McGowan.
- Terry singled to center field to score Jala Stewart.
- Faith Harris singled to score two runs
- Stewart doubled to center in the fourth inning to add a run
- Glory Seay then closed the game with an RBI single to left field in the fourth to secure the run-rule win.

th in its final regular season games against Clark Atlanta University. First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m.
