ALBANY, Ga. | The Golden Rams of Albany State hosted the Panthers of Clark Atlanta on Monday night at the Arena at West Campus.
The ASU defense was smothering all night, holding Clark Atlanta to 25 percent shooting from the field.
The hosts built a 60-25 lead through three quarters including a 30 point outburst in the third period.Â
Four players scored in double-figures for Albany State (7-15, 6-6). Tyra Thompson led the way with 17 points. Ciera Norman netted 12 points while Ashley Johnson scored 10 points.
Shantrell Holland recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Reagan Jackson had a game-high 20 points for Clark Atlanta (6-17, 4-9).
The Golden Rams host a midweek game on Wednesday, February 6th, against Eckerd College. Game time is set for 5:30 pm.
