MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | The Golden Rams concluded opening weekend by playing a doubleheader in the Bobcat Kickoff with hosts Georgia College.
Game 1
ASU struggled to string hits together against starter Jessie Morris. The Golden Rams scattered six hits over seven innings and managed just one run.
Down 1-0 entering the 2nd inning, Glory Seay knocked a double to left centerfield that scored Aryn McGowan to knot the game. It would be all the visitors managed in the contest as Georgia College took the game 4-1.
McGowan (0-2) pitched 6.0 innings in the loss, giving up eight hits and three earned runs.
Game 2
Georgia College spread nine runs over five innings included three run innings in the 3rd and 4th to end the contest early.
Seay again was the only Golden Ram with a RBI in the contest, a single to left field that scored Amaya Terry.
Lauren Lowery (0-2) was credited with the loss in 4.1 innings of work.
ASU (0-4) will travel to West Point, Ga. on Wednesday, February 6th, for a matchup with Point University. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
