ALBANY, Ga. | The Golden Rams concluded their regular season on Monday night when they hosted the Cougars of Columbus State.
After playing mostly even ball throughout the contest, nine ties and eight lead changes, ASU struggled to keep pace over the final few minutes as they fell in their home finale, 62-58.
Tyrell Williams was the leading scorer for Albany State (13-15) with 18 points. Mario Young added 11 points and Napoleon Harris had a game-high 11 rebounds.Â
DeMarcus McVay led Columbus State (12-13) with 16 points.
Jared Harrington ends the regular season as the team's scoring champion, netting 411 points (15.2 per game).Â
Harris averaged 7.9 boards per game (209 total), 30 blocks, and totaled 52 assists, all team highs.
ASU has clinched the number two seed out of the SIAC East and will play the winner of the Lane-Benedict matchup on Thursday, February 28th, at 3:15 CST at Bill Harris Arena in Birmingham, Ala.
