FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. | Albany State traveled to northeast Georgia on Tuesday for a non-conference game with the Emmanuel College Lions.
ASU edged the Lions in points in the paint (32-24), points off turnovers (15-11), and second chance points (10-4).Â
The stat line favored the Golden Rams in nearly every category other than three point field goals. Albany State failed to convert a basket from long range, going 0-for-9 from beyond the arc. Emmanuel ended the night with seven made three pointers and took the game, 62-52.
Jared Harrington led Albany State (6-11) with a game-high 20 points. Mario Young added 12 points off the bench.
Harrington is leading the Golden Rams with 15.9 points per game.
Kendrick Colvin scored 14 points and pulled in nine rebounds for Emmanuel (12-6).
The Golden Rams will be back in conference action on Saturday, January 12th when they travel to Fort Valley State to take on the Wildcats. Game time is scheduled for 8:00 pm.
