GOLDEN RAMS FALL IN MOBILE

MOBILE, Ala. | Albany State traveled to Mobile on Saturday for a conference showdown with the Badgers of Spring Hill College. 

The Golden Rams dominated points in the paint (44-28) and second chance points (12-4), however the host Badgers made two more three pointers and eight more free throws which proved to be the difference in the 77-67 defeat.

Tyra Thompson led Albany State (5-11, 4-3) with 17 points and nine rebounds. Ashley Johnson was second on the team with 13 points while Shantrell Holland added 10 points.

Tiffany Valentine had a game-high 23 points for Spring Hill (6-7, 2-2).

ASU will get the week off before traveling to Fort Valley State for a conference matchup with the Wildcats on Saturday, January 12th. Game time is set for 6:00 pm.
