JASPER, AL- Albany State University scored seven unanswered and cruised to a 9-1 victory in five innings over LeMoyne-Owen College Friday afternoon at Memorial Park.

With the win the Golden Rams remain unblemished at the SIAC crossover and extend their win streak to six games.

ASU left no doubt from their first at bat, scoring six runs in the bottom of the first inning. Jade Williams accounted for the Golden Rams first run of the game on a sacrifice fly from Megan Shepherd. After a triple from Brianna Murillo, Lavette Tucker would reach on a walk. The Magicians were held to just three hits in the game, their lone run coming off a two out RBI single in the top of the fourth.

The Rams got a SAC fly from Tucker in the second, and RBI triple from Williams in the third and their final score came in the bottom of the fifth, giving ASU the game due to the 8-run rule.
