BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Albany State traveled to Birmingham on Saturday to take on the Golden Bears of Miles College in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association matchup.
The host school led wire-to-wire and took the contest, 68-53.
The golden Rams struggled from deep, connecting on just three attempts from beyond the arc.
ASU recovered from a poor shooting first half, to make 52 percent of their shots in the second half.
Albany State (3-8, 2-1) dropped their first conference game of the year. Uchemdirim Ibebunjo led the team with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Jasmine Hollis led Miles College (6-1, 2-0) with a game-high 19 points.
The Golden Rams head to Tuskegee on Monday to take on the Golden Tigers. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 pm CST.
