BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Miles College played host to the Golden Rams of Albany State on Saturday in a matchup of conference unbeatens.
ASU trailed by only three at the half, but were outscored 34-10 in the second frame.Â
The Golden Rams 3-point defense was smothering as Miles made only 4-of-17 attempts from beyond the arc. Unfortunately, ASU managed just one field goal from deep themselves.
Tyrell Williams had a game-high 16 points for Albany State (3-9, 2-1) while Randy McClure pulled in eight rebounds.
Avery Brown scored 13 points for Miles College (5-3, 3-0).
ASU is back in conference action on Monday night as they travel to Tuskegee for a matchup with the Golden Tigers. The Golden Rams won the matchup with Tuskegee last season, 69-60. Tipoff is set for 7:30 pm CST.
