ALBANY, Ga. | The Golden Rams won their third straight game on Tuesday night with a blowout victory over Thomas University, 70-33.
It was truly a team effort as 12 ASU players registered points in the victory. The offense shot 53 percent from the floor and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
The defense smothered the Night Hawks attack all night, holding the visitors to 22 percent from the field and forcing 17 turnovers.
Ashley Johnson led Albany State (3-6) with 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Uchemdirim Ibebunjo and Alexandria James added 10 points each for the Golden Rams. Tyra Thompson finished with a game-high 13 rebounds for ASU.
Micah Garvin led Thomas University (3-6) with 10 points and six rebounds.
The Golden Rams are back in action on Saturday, December 8th, when they travel to Georgia College. Game time is set for 6:00 pm.
