Lady Golden Rams Suffer Non-Conference Setback At Home

ALBANY, GA- The Albany State University Lady Golden Rams dropped a three set decision to Auburn University- Montgomery in their season opener on Thursday night at HPER Gymnasium.
Justice Howard finished with a team high 10 kills in ASU's 2017 debut. She was the only Lady Golden Ram to register double digits in kills on the evening.
On the other side the Warhawks improve to 3-2 on the year in the three set sweep, 25-14, 25-18, 25-13. Auburn-Montgomery smashed 36 kills (33 assists) against only 11 errors on the match. They also had a strong net game on display, racking up 12 assisted blocks as a team.
Ciara Chapman chipped in with 13 assists for ASU while
Dominique Austin contributed a 2 service aces, 6 dig effort.
The Lady Golden Rams will look to get in the win column on next Tuesday at home when they host SIAC foe Fort Valley State University at HPER Gymnasium. First serve is scheduled for 6:00pm.
