Lady Golden Rams Fall to 0-3 On The Season

VALDOSTA, GA- The Valdosta State University Blazers moved to 6-3 on the season with a three set sweep of Albany State University (25-6, 25-15, 25-15) Friday afternoon at the Complex.

Chloe Chubilleau and Tristyn Sells led the way for the Blazers with 11 kills apiece.

After dropping the first two sets (6, 15) ASU showed fight in the third set. After ball handling error by VSU's Sara Dandridge, the two teams stood tied a 10-10. The Blazers then took 10 of the next 12 points to give them an 8-point cushion over Albany State. The Lady Golden Rams mustered a small run capped by a Jordan Stucky kill to close the gap to within six points (21-15). However Valdosta (6-3 overall), scored four straight points to close out the set and the match.

Brittianni Phillips led ASU with 7 kills while Jahkishma Soto chipped in with 19 assists.
