December 19, 2017

ST. PETERSBURG, FL- Eckerd College leveraged a big scoring first half to cruise past Albany State University 73-54 Tuesday night in non-conference basketball action.

The loss to the Tritons was the second game of a back-to-back road trip for the Lady Golden Rams who fall to 7-8 overall on the season. Elesha Foster paced ASU with 20 points while Kayla Green went for 14 points.

Eckerd used a dominating performance on the boards, out-rebounding the Lady Golden Rams 40-29 including 13 off the offensive glass. They opened the game with a 12-2 run and kept the lead the entire way. Albany State cut the score to single digits with two free throws from Elesha Foster with 2:01 left in the opening quarter but EC closed the first with another run to reclaim a double digit lead 19-6.
