Lady Ram Softball falls to Embry-Riddle

Daytona Beach, Fla.- The Albany State women's softball team dropped its final contest in Florida for the week. ASU lost its ninth straight game after falling 9-0 to Embry-Riddle University. The Lady Rams are now 10-25 overall.

Albany State fell behind early and could not recover. After trailing 3-0 at the end of the first inning, ASU gave up four more runs in the bottom of the second to create a 7-0 deficit. The Lady Eagles added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
 
Jakeidra Pruitt recorded the Lady Rams' only hit of the day. The team also committed four errors. Taylor Clemens was the losing pitcher.
 
Albany State will return to action April 1-2 when it travels to Atlanta, Ga. to face Clark Atlanta University in an SIAC three-game series. The two team will play a single game on Friday at 5 p.m. Saturday will feature a doubleheader at 2 and 4 p.m.
