Game Day RAM-blings Albany State Women’s Basketball vs. Georgia College

The Albany State Lady Rams will open their home schedule when they host the Georgia College Lady Bobcats on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m. at HPER Gymnasium.
 
ASU (0-4 overall) will be attempting to secure its first win of the season. In their last outing, the Lady Rams dropped a an tough 64-61 overtime decision to Georgia Southwestern State University. In the loss, sophomore guard Ashley Johnson scored a team-high 12 points, and junior forward Kayla Green added 11 points and six rebounds.
 
Georgia College comes into the contest with a 2-0 record after defeating Auburn-Montgomery University 76-49 in a tournament at the University of North Georgia. Alyah McGriff led all scorers with 21 points and added seven rebounds. Lindsey Reed tallied 18 points, four rebounds and three steals.
 
The two programs have not played each other since Nov. 30, 2004. The Lady Bobcats won the last meeting 74-59, but Albany State owns a slim 11-10 advantage in the series.
 
Fans who will be attending the game can gain admission with a donation of a canned good or a toy for the ASU Athletics holiday drives.
