Game Day RAM-blings- Albany State vs. Delta State University

The Albany State Golden Rams and Delta State Statesmen are set to meet at Parker Field-McCool Stadium in Cleveland Mississippi. This will be only the second meeting between the two programs, and the first regular season meeting. The last meeting between the school occurred in 2010. Delta State defeated ASU 28-7 in the NCAA Quarterfinals in Albany.

Last week, Albany State won its first game of the season when it defeated Stillman College 21-6 in Albany. Jarvis Small had 133 rushing yards and a touchdown to lead the ASU offense. Linebacker Jamal Abd Al-Qadir led the Albany State defense with nine and 6.5 tackles apiece. Zane Fields added 4.5 tackles.

Delta State enters the contest ranked No. In the American Football Coaches Association Poll. The Statesmen comes into the game off an 51-18 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan after beating Texas A&M Commerce in Week 2. Delta State enters Saturday's contest with Albany State leading the Gulf South Conference in scoring at 50.0 points per game. Led by Tyler Sullivan's 340.3 yards per contest, the Statesmen also lead the league in passing (379.7 ypg). DSU also tops the league's charts for interceptions (8) and sacks (8.0).
