Game Day RAM-blings- Albany State vs. Tuskegee

The Albany State Golden Rams and Tuskegee Golden Tigers are set to meet in the 2nd Annual White Water Classic in Phenix City Ala. At Garrett Harrison Stadium. This will be the 42nd meeting all-time between Albany State and Tuskegee, with the Golden Tigers holding a 22-19-1 advantage in the series. The two have meet eight times since 2006, with Tuskegee holding a 7-1 advantage. Over the last 20 meetings, Albany State holds a slim 10-9-1 advantage. In 2014, the Golden Tigers swept both meetings. TU won 20-12 in the initial White Water Classic and 47-41 in the 2014 SIAC Championship Game in Montgomery, Ala.

Last week, Albany State lost its season opener to in-state rival Valdosta State by a 21-13 score. Jarvis Small had 85 rushing yards and a touchdown, while wide receiver Yancey Burns recorded 85 yards on five receptions to lead the ASU offense. Tavarius Washington led the Albany State defense with 10 tackles (eight solos), a sack and an interception he returned for 53-yards. The "Gold Rush" Offense racked up 308 yards, while the "Dirty Blue" Defense had a total of six sacks.

Tuskegee comes into the game off of a 26-0 victory over SIAC foe Clark Atlanta in the opener. In the Golden Tigers victory, the team held Clark Atlanta to just 38 yards rushing (net) and 202 yards of total offense. They also forced four Panthers' turnovers, while putting up 312 yards of total offense themselves.
