Lady Rams drop heartbreaker to Benedict

Albany, Ga.- Kristen Randolph recorded 20 kills, and Jennifer Evans added another 19 kills and 16 digs in a losing effort. After battling back from a 0-2 deficit, the Albany State Lady Rams dropped a 3-2 (20-25, 25-27, 25-18, 25-21 and 12-15) decision to the Benedict Lady Tigers.  With the loss, ASU drops to 7-6 overall and 5-3 in the SIAC. Benedict improves to 10-6, 7-3.
 

Setters Tiffany Roesler and Malikah Drummond had 28 and 16 assists, respectively, for the Lady Rams. Roesler also added 10 digs. Libero Kaliah Carter led ASU defensively with 23 digs. Chelsae Bryant recorded another 12 in that category.
 

Albany State returns to action on Tuesday, October 7th when it faces Clark Atlanta University in its home opener at the ASU HPER Gym.  Game time is set for 6 p.m.
