The Albany State women and men's basketball teams will play Edward Waters University on Saturday, January 7, in Jacksonville, Florida.  The women will play at 1:00 pm and the men will follow at approximately 3:00 pm.
 
The Golden Rams women's team is (5-8) overall and (3-4) in the SIAC.  The Tigers women's team is (6-7) overall and (2-5) in the SIAC.
 
Both teams were victorious in games earlier this week.  The Golden Rams defeated Miles (49-41) on Monday, January 2.  The Tigers defeated LeMoyne-Owen (57-45) on Wednesday, January 4. 

As a team, the Golden Rams are averaging 58.2 points while allowing 65.8 points per game.  The Golden Rams are shooting 37.2% from the field, 25% from the 3-point line and 59.4% from the free throw line.
 
Kashay Hankerson is averaging 12.5 points and 3.0 assists per game to lead the Golden Rams.  Juanisha Black is averaging 8.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
 
The Golden Rams men's team is (2-11) overall and (2-5) in the SIAC.  The Tigers men's team is (2-8) overall and (2-5) in the SIAC.           
 
The Golden Rams and Tigers men last played on December 9, 2016.  The Golden Rams won (85-81).
 
As a team, the Golden Rams are averaging 63.6 points while allowing 72.9 points per game.  The Golden Rams are shooting 38.5% from the field, 30.8% from the 3-point line and 68.9% from the free throw line.
 
Maurice Dickson is averaging 11.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game for the Golden Rams.  Malik Parker is averaging 10.5 points and 2.5 rebounds.
